Ultra-high

6. As far as possible the use of matching bearings to ensure that the bearing rotation accuracy and stiffness.
High-speed
spindle bearings are mostly with the pressure angle of 15 or 25 angular
contact ball bearings, the accuracy level to precision (P5) and
ultra-precision (P4) based. The
main reason for the high speed performance of the angular contact ball
bearing is that the centrifugal force and the gyro torque increase on
the rolling body under high speed. Increasing centrifugal force increases the friction between the
ball and the raceway, and the increase in the gyroscope torque causes a
friction between the ball and the raceway, which increases the friction
of the bearing and reduces the bearing life.
In
order to improve the high-speed performance of the bearing, often used
in two ways: First, reduce the diameter of the ball, such as the use of
standardized 71900 series spindle bearings; the other is the use of new
ceramic (Si3N4) materials do ball, because Si3N4 ceramic The
density of the material is only 40% of the bearing steel, the friction
coefficient is low, so the high-speed performance of this bearing is
significantly higher than the steel bearings. At present, the vast majority of foreign high-speed machine tool spindle are used in this bearing.
