Bimetal band saw blade, mainly refers to the teeth of material for high-speed steel or other high-performance steel, saw band material is low alloy spring steel metal cutting band saw blade.
The material of bimetal band saw blade is mainly joined by two kinds of metal such as teeth self-lubricating steel sleeve and back by electron beam (or laser) welding oil-free bearing factory. Band saw tooth material: At the beginning, the bimetal band saw material was M2 and M4. Because its hardness was too low, it was gradually eliminated. Nowadays, the most commonly used tooth material on the market is M42 alloy steel. Another kind is high tungsten cobalt alloy tool steel. More advanced is the tooth material and M51.
Back material of band saw blade: Because of the different standards of bimetallic bearings in the world, the expression of their material grades are different, mainly divided into: X32, B318, RM80, B313, D6A, 505 and so on. But all of these belong to the 46CrNiMoVA material series. The material of band saw blade tooth has the characteristics of high hardness, high wear resistance, high red hardness, etc. The material of band saw blade M42 tooth contains more than 8% cobalt, which is an ideal alloy high-speed steel material. The back material has excellent fatigue resistance.
Bimetal band saw blade is widely used: Bimetal band saw blade is mainly used to cut common ferrous metals, such as cast iron, cast steel, rolled round steel, square steel, pipe, section steel; also can be used to cut hard and sticky metals such as alloy tool steel, alloy structural steel, die steel, bearing steel, stainless steel; and can also cut non-ferrous metals such as copper, aluminum. If we want to choose a proper tooth shape (jumping teeth), it can be used to cut frozen fish, frozen meat and hard frozen objects. Bimetallic band saw blades with large teeth fraction after some special processing are also widely used to cut hard and precious wood such as mahogany, oak and iron pear.
