Connecting rod bearings are usually used in large heads, and connecting rod bushings are usually used in small heads.
The connecting rod bearing is the center of the connection between the connecting rod head and the crankshaft.
The connecting rod bushing is the center of the connecting rod small head and the piston pinion gear pump bushing.
In high-speed engines, connecting rod bearings usually require plating, and connecting rod bushings are usually not plated. Connecting rod bearings usually have no oil grooves or oil holes, and
connecting rod bushings usually have oil grooves or oil passages.
Bearings and bushings are attributed to the field of plain bearings
The connecting rod bearing cooperates with the crank pin, and the
connecting rod big end bearing for the engine bush to reduce the wear of
the crank pin.
The large end bearing of the connecting rod is a split sliding bearing. The
large-end bearings of the crosshead-type connecting rods are often
manufactured by themselves and then fixed with connecting rod bolts to
the shaft, and anti-friction alloys are often cast directly on the inner
surface of the chassis bushing. Large-end
bearings without cross-head connecting rods, the upper half of which is
often integrated with the shaft, while the lower half bearing cover is
made by itself, and then the connecting rod bolts are fixedly connected
to the upper half, and on the bearing The inner surface of the lower half is equipped with bearings. In
order to lubricate, oil holes are drilled in large-end bearings, and
oil grooves and waste tanks are opened on the friction-reducing alloy
surface.
